Born in Lewisham, one of four siblings (Ernest, Elsie, Muriel and Harold).

Worked in Whitehall for the Civil Service (Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries, later MAFF) most of her life.

Was engaged to an airman who sadly lost his life in the war.

Married Harry Jackson (following death of his first wife, Kathleen) in Seaford, 1988. Harry died December 2001.

Received an award for Services to the Community from the lady mayor of Seaford in 2010.

Lived in Seaford until December 2015, then became resident at Inglewood Care Home, Disley (near to her step son, Tony), till her death in August 2021.
